I'm in a place I never expected to be
It's vast and deep as the empty fields
The sky over head seems big and unending
What will it take to get out?
I used to be in a crowded home
Full of noisy people and tree covered sidewalks
The roads were fast but the homeless walked upon it
You would think this wasn't a home
I remember that homes were friendly
And always packed with the ones you loved most
Yeah the plains where I am are nice
But that isn't giving me the warm feeling I used to have
I miss the endless summer breeze
That would always hit my face unchangingly
The ocean smell still lingers in my nose
From where I've made memories
Yes, the country sky is big
But so are the moments I had back home
Vast and unchanging
Where I still call home
